Ten cents worth of water

Today we wanted to see who could balance the most drops of water on a 10 cent piece before it broke the surface tension of the water and spilled on the bench. Most people were able to add about 60 drops of water!

I wonder what would happen if you tried it again at home with detergent in the water???

 

Rollerball Champions (Forces Homework Task)

We had a lot of great rollerball machines built. There were lots of creative ideas – ramps, sticky substances, fluids, narrow tubes and more. Quite a lot of people managed to get the ball to take close to the 20 second goal.
